DIABETES PATIENTS TEND WHEN a BABY PREGNANCY FAT

Children born to mothers who developed diabetes during pregnancy are more likely to being overweight or become obese than their peers, according to a new study.

However, what is called the treatment of diabetes during pregnancy reduces the risk that? Dr. Teresa A. Hillier and colleagues studied nearly 10,000 mother-child pairs enrolled in Kaiser Permanente plans in Hawaii and the East Pacific ocean during the period from 1995 to 2000. Women who had diabetes were not included.

Search the kids 5 to 7 years later revealed the relationship between their body weight and blood sugar levels when checked their mother during pregnancy, according to the researchers report in the medical journal Diabates Care.

In particular, a child has a possibility of 28 per cent more for being overweight or become obese when your blood sugar levels of their mothers during pregnancy are at the top compared to the blood sugar at a lower position.

According to the team Hillier, the trend remained high after research on the improvement of maternal weight, maternal age, number of pregnancies, ethnicity, and infant weight at birth.

However, further analysis showed that the risk of obesity does not increase sharply among children born of mothers who undergo the treatment of diabetes during pregnancy.
"Our results indicate that the 'trail motabolis' children to experience the future of obesity seen in one, or more, abnormal condition in blood glucose tolerance tests," said Hillier and colleagues conclude. "The risk can be changed by the treatment of diabetes during pregnancy."
